BillTrelawny’s Army was saddened to learn that former County player Vernon Parkin had passed away whilst visiting his son in the States.
Parkin was a hard-running and feisty centre who broke through into the county side in the 68-69 season. The Penryn centre featured in all the county championship games including the final against Lancashire held at Redruth in front of some 23,000 spectators.
