All four Cornwall U20’s into the SW Squad!!!

Following the final trials at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire on Sunday 9th June all
four Cornwall attendees have been selected for the SW team.

In addition to their success Will Perkin has been named as captain of the SW squad
and Jack Statton the vice-captain which is a fabulous achievement.

Cornish lads make SW squad

Cornwall U20’s into SW Squad

Following the recent SW trials held at Hartpury College Gloucestershire, 5 Cornwall
U20 players have been selected into the SW squad for a further training session on
Sunday 9 th June.
This further session will be held at Hartpury College once again which will mean
many hours on the road once again for the Cornwall players!!

Trelawny’s Army match ball sponsors & 91 squad.

TASC Hon. Sec Ian Gordon presented the match ball to Cornwall captain Ben Priddey at the Hampshire game at Redruth on Saturday.

Ian, along with his wife Trixie were invited to the CRFU pre-match function at Redruth, in recognition of Ian’s 20 years tenure as TASC Hon. Sec before he steps down at September’s AGM.

Cornwall Women’s side for long trek to Durham

Following last night’s training session at Bodmin RFC Cornwall Women wasted no time in announcing their side to travel to Stockton RFC to take on Durham in Sunday’s semi-final, kick-off 1 pm.

Costly errors aid Kent

KENT 34 – 33 CORNWALL

Cornwall came up short against a well-organised Kent side who are now on course to return to Twickenham next month to defend their title.

The Black & Golds must have thought they would boss the game when Kent’s hooker Oliver Walliker was shown a red card for foul play on 33 minutes but a tenacious Kent side and some sloppy play from the visitors tipped the result in the home side’s favour.

Cornwall side to face Kent

Cornwall have named their side to play Kent on Saturday. The side sees a few changes to that which played Surrey at Esher last Saturday. Kick-off at Charlton Park RFC is 2 pm.

In the backs, Harry Larkins comes in for Matt Shepherd, who is unavailable, whilst Lewis Thomas starts in place of Jack Statton who is at the Under 20 SW trials.
