Getting there by road – Via the A.30, South through Cornwall. At Chiverton roundabout take the 3rd exit (St.Agnes). The next roundabout the 3rd exit (again) towards St. Agnes on the B3277. After 500 metres turn right by the tourist information sign to Rose-in-Vale. This will take you to Mithian, turn right at the Miners’ Arms, proceed down the hill, you will find the hotel at the bottom of the valley on your left.

There will be no player presentations this season due to covid.

Trelawny’s Army held it’s first committee meeting last night at Bodmin RFC since January 2020.

We were delighted to formally welcome our new Merchandise Secretary, Jackie Thomas, to the the committee.

Our next meeting will be our A.G.M. to be held at the St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre. More details nearer the time.

Please be aware, Trelawny’s Army does NOT have any agreements with third parties to sell items of merchandise with the branding of Trelawny’s Army.

We have been made aware of certain companies on social media using the term Trelawny’s Army. They have no connection with TASC. Please exercise caution.

Our Annual General Meeting is due to be held at St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre on Wednesday 30th September.

At the present time it is unclear whether or not we will be able to proceed on that date, or at the designated venue.

Our Hon.Sec will be making enquires and will report back via the website any further news on our A.G.M.

Naturally Covid restrictions and health & safety of our committee and members is of paramount interest in making our final decision.

UPDATE 07-09-2020

This year’s A.G.M. has been cancelled. Officers and Committee will be automatically be rolled over for 2021.

Committee meetings continue to be suspended for the time being and we are keeping our options open and under review on all future events up to spring 2021.

With the continuing uncertainty surrounding covid 19, it appears that for the foreseeable future we are only going to be able to produce a PDF version of our club magazine.

Trelawny’s Army were saddened to learn of the passing of Andrew Harris one of our valued longstanding members.

Andrew. nicknamed “the Scarf” by members, was a regular at county games, was instanly recognisable sporting his long handmade Cornwall scarf and wearing his deerstalker.

Linda Harris wrote the following about her late husband. “I have so many wonderful memories of supporting the county matches. Andrew was always keen to fly the Cornish flag wherever he went – in fact his coffin was draped with a Cornish flag, and also the scarf in the photo (which I have kept!) and the inevitable deerstalker hat! I am lucky to have Trelawny’s Army friends in the village – David and Shirley Floyd. David came to Andrew’s funeral which was on 18th March at The Glynn Valley Crematorium, Bodmin. David was a great comfort to me then, and Shirley provided the funeral tea at Pillaton Village Hall afterwards. I value their friendship.”
