The final of this season’s Cornwall Colts Cup, sponsored by Trelawny’s Army Supporters Club, takes place next Friday 8th April at Wadebridge Camels RFC, between Helston and St. Austell, kick-off 8:00 pm.
It will be preceded by the final of the Shield between Launceston and the winner of Camborne/Newquay Hornets, who played their semi-final yesterday, kick-off 6:30 pm.
Trelawny’s Army Supporters Club will once again be running coaches to Cornwall’s away fixture against Hertfordshire at Bishop’s Stortford, and to Twickenham for the Bill Beaumont Cup Final, which this season is the curtain-raiser for the Old Mutual Wealth Cup fixture between England and Wales.
Tickets for the day are likely to be in short supply, if any, by the time the County finalists are known.
Cornwall RFU is unlikely to have an allocation even if Cornwall make the final!
TASC has secured a block of tickets and three coach passes for the day.

The Cornwall Rugby Football Union is working hard to respond to the needs of its clubs and members and to that end earlier this year an on-line survey was sent out to all players in Cornwall asking them to identify certain areas that they would like to see improved. Highlighted by the players in this survey was the need for continued Player Training Development opportunities (as currently exists at the youth level). To respond to this request the Player Development committees have combined to use their resources to offer to ALL SENIOR players (both male and female) in the county three specialist training days. These days will be to enable players to enhance their own skills sets for personal development which in turn will enhance their playing experience back at their clubs.
WHEN:(1) 13th December (Sunday), (2) 15th February (Monday), (3) 13th April (Wednesday)
However you will need to notify Maggie Notman (Chair Player Development Committee, Seniors) of your attendance so we can arrange for the correct number of coaches and for sandwiches afterwards. You can do this by email to email@example.com , stating your club and playing position. Any queries please call Maggie on 07967 684443.
A well attended A.G.M. was once again held at the St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre. Special thanks must go to our President John Treglown in organising the evening.

We were delighted to have several members of the C.R.F.U. with us including Chairman Denis Preece.
In his address, Chairman Phil Trevarton welcomed everyone and expressed on behalf of “the Army” the immense pride of the club in Cornwall winning the Bill Beaumont Cup at Twickenham last May. Also the Cornwall Under 20s in reaching the national semi-finals.
Hon. Sec. Ian Gordon, in his report, outlined the club’s sponsorship plans for 2015-15. The Trelawny’s Army Cornwall Colts League is already up and running and we have the option for a further year in 2016-17.
The clubs that achieved promotion last will again receive balls from the Army, and we will in addition again sponsor the county under 7s and under 8s festival at Penryn, and also the under 9s at St. Austell.
Reports were then submitted by the various officers; these are on file should any member wish to look at them further.

The Bowling will take place on Sunday November 8. Contact Jenny for further details.
In the player’s absence, the “Bill Osborne Memorial Shield” for the Cornwall Player of the Year was received on Matt Shepherd’s behalf by Colin Hatch Cornwall Team Secretary.
Colin read out a message from Matt, who was sorry he could not be with us and expressed his pride at being chosen and thanked the Army for their wonderful support.
The “Tony Mead Memorial Shield” for the Cornwall Under 20 player of the year was accepted on Tommy Phillips’ behalf by Bill Hooper.
Both players will receive their shields at their clubs’ next home game on Saturday 10 October.
Life membership of the club was bestowed on Thelma Sweet in recognition of her sterling work and support over the years.
There was a toast to celebrate Cornwall’s win in May before the meeting concluded with a rousing rendition of Trelawny!
