CORNWALL SQUAD TO FACE HERTS IN OPENER

CORNWALL CONFIDENT AHEAD OF HERTS CLASH

BY BILL HOOPER TASC PRESS OFFICER

CORNWALL despite lacking players from the Cornish All Blacks go into their opening County Championship clash on Saturday at Redruth full of confidence.
Redruth club captain prop Darren Jacques is set to lead the side in Cornwall’s only home game of the season against Hertfordshire, before two away fixtures at Cinderford v Gloucestershire on May 14th and Kent at Canterbury on May 21st.

Former TASC player of the year Sam Hocking is set to return to the county side whilst James Goldsworthy from Tribute Cornwall Cup Holders Camborne will partner Damien Cook in the second row.

Ever green fly-half Ian Morgan (St. Ives) is once more drafted in for his experience and goal-kicking as the tournament again features rolling replacements.
Players who play in this season’s County Championship will also be looking for places on England Counties three match tour to Spain in June.
