TASC AT CAMELFORD AGRICULTURAL SHOW 2011

Report by TASC Chairman Phil Trevarton

The Trelawny's Army team had a very enjoyable day a Camelford Agricultural Show on the 10th. August. The show, although one of the smaller one-day shows in the County, is really well laid out and well organised and is well worth a visit.

Our stand was situated in the main marquee and created a lot of interest and thanks to all who purchased our wares. Several former members came over to say hello and were pleased to see that the Club is supporting local events.

There were a lot of holiday makers attending the show, and many of those with a rugby background came forward to introduce themselves, including a family from Hertford; the father is involved with Hertford RFC and the son currently playing for Old Patesians. Another family from South Yorkshire with a young son fully decked out in a Leeds Rhinos rugby league replica strip were pleased to see the stand and bought a rugby ball and a Cornwall top.

We were not the only rugby presence at the show: it was good to see the Camelford RFC stand opposite the main ring.
