To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Cornwall’s last County Championship win and in preparation for the forthcoming 2009 Bill Beaumont Cup campaign, Trelawny’s Army Supporters Club organised a buffet and presentation ceremony for the 1999 players at the Lostwithiel Golf and Country Club.
We were also honoured that John Fry, CRFU President at the time, was able to join us on the evening.
Captain of the victorious team, Dean Shipton, paid tribute to Trelawny’s Army and the loyal Cornish supporters, whose vociferous support on the day helped carry the team to victory over Gloucestershire by 24-15.
