BRIGHTON GIVE SAINTS THE BLUES

SADLY, there was no glorious win to take St Austell RFC to rugby HQ in the semi-final of the RFU Intermediate Cup last Saturday. The Saints fell at the penultimate hurdle at Brighton’s Waterhall Playing Fields ground by 31-19, they did cover themselves in glory and did both St Austell and Cornwall proud.

It was a game the Pirates needed to win to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the play-offs alive. Sadly it was not to be as the Blues won at the Mennaye 26-18.
